BLS Skills (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers
How it Works
On-line BLS Skills for Healthcare Provider training offers a flexible CPR training option for the healthcare professionals. This program recognizes that healthcare professionals enter the course with knowledge and skills acquired from prior training and years of patient care
Part 1: Student completes the online, cognitive portion of the course anywhere with internet access by logging on to WWW.ONLINEAHA.ORG. When student finishes the online portion, a certificate of completion is available for them to print (required to complete Part 2).
Part 2: Student then meets with and completes a skills validation test with a Sav-a-Life AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of both parts, the student will be issued an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Course Completion Card.
First log on to WWW.ONLINEAHA.ORG and purchase the BLS Healthcare Provider online (Part 1). The cost is approximately $17.50 and is paid by credit card. An additional cost must then be paid for the skills validation test performed by the Sav-a-Life instructor (call for pricing).
